Lash Extensions & Lifts

Lash extensions have been a huge and important part of the beauty industry for years. The art of attaching an artificial lash(es) to each individual natural lash, adding additional volume and length that is customizable to each client.

Classic Vs Volume                                                                       Classics: Applying one artificial lash to each one of your natural lashes to create a fuller look. Using different lengths, curls and taking into account the weight your natural lash can endure.                                             Volume: Using several artificial lashes to create light weight, handmade fans and applying one fan per natural lash. Always taking into account the weight your natural lashes can endure.

Hybrid lashes are a mixture of both.

Are lash extensions for you?

Lash extensions are a great option for many people. Whether you want to shorten your morning routine, add a little something to your look, or create a more youthful appearance, extensions can be just that. Understanding the risks, the details of the service, maintenance, and after care requirements can help to determine if you are the perfect fit for extensions. Please let me know if you have any common allergies, wear contacts, or are taking Accutane medication to best determine if extensions are right for you.

What to expect during the service

The art of applying lash extensions is a relaxing, and pampering experience. You will be laying flat on our back, with your eyes shut for entire service. Initial service can take up to 2-3 hours with infills lasting between 1-2 hours. I have many pillows, blankets and techniques to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your visit.

Contraindications

Skin conditions around eye area, Conjunctivitis, Dry Eye Syndrome, Cataracts, A recent eye infection, Blepharitis

The health of your natural lashes

It is a common belief that extensions damage or even ruin your natural lashes. While this can be true, it is almost always the fault of the technician and not the actual technique of applying eyelash extensions. As a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Lash Artist, keeping your natural lashes strong and healthy while providing you with this service is my main priority. When cultivating your customized lashes, I always take into account what your lashes can handle in both weight and materials used.

Lash Extensions Aftercare

I recommend being as gentle as possible with your lashes within the first 24 hours of the original application. During this period, avoid water, steam, or any direct contact with your lashes. Avoid rubbing, pulling, or plucking your lash extensions. Going forward, avoid extreme heat as the lash tips can easily be singed. Do not use oil based products on your lashes or around your lash line. I do not recommend wearing regular mascara at all with your extensions. If you choose to on occasion it should be a mascara made for eyelash extensions and never waterproof mascara. I recommend using the cleanser I carry to gently wash your lashes of excess build up regularly. Avoid using a towel or any lint based material when washing or drying your lashes. Schedule your fill every 2-3 weeks to ensure your lashes are kept full and healthy.

Lash Lifts

Lash Lifts are an absolute game changer. Whether you are choosing this service because you just love it or because it can be a great alternative to extensions, you can’t go wrong.

Essentially, I use silicone pads to lift and curl your natural lashes from the very base of your lash line. This makes your lashes appear longer with more defined curl using your very own lashes. I use products that are naturally not too harsh for your natural lashes. Step one is applying the lifting solution that gives that desired curl effect. Step two is applying the setting solution which has hydrating ingredients such as aloe and glycerin to condition and set your lashes in place.

After the service you must remain makeup free and keep your lashes dry for 24 hours. Going forward you are free to wear mascara, eye makeup, get your lashes wet, use lash serums, and wash your face as usual. The service will last between 4-8 weeks and will grow out with your natural lash cycle.
