Dermaplane Facial

Dermaplaning is a very safe, gentle and effective form of physical exfoliation. Using a sterile, surgical scalpel, the skins surface is gently exfoliated, removing the topmost layer of dead skin along with your fine vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). Vellus hair helps to trap dirt and oil, by removing this and other buildup dull skin will be refreshed, the appearance of enlarged pores and fine lines will be reduced and skin will be left radiant. Vellus hair will not grow back thicker. Product penetration is greatly increased over the weeks following this treatment. The Dermaplane Facial is complete with Cleansing, Personalized Hydrojelly mask , CBD oil, Enzyme, Toner, and personalized finishing products combined with the act of Dermaplaning.

Eyelash Extensions

Precare & Aftercare requirements

Understand Your service

Lash extensions are a very popular service that is used to enhance your natural lashes and eye shape. With a variety of options on the market it is important to understand what the service, different styles and what i offer as your Esthetician. The service focuses on applying artificial lash(es) to each one of your natural lashes. The main styles including Classic*, Hybrid, Volume* and will help determine how many lashes are applied to the natural lash and the overall look achieved. Classic lashes are usually a more natural look while volume can be dense and dramatic. Hybrid is usually an in between of these two styles. When applying lashes in a Hybrid or Volume set, several light weight lashes are used to create a darker lash line and overall appearance. Booking the appropriate service is important to achieve your desired end results. Lash extensions require daily maintenance and regular upkeep to prolong the service and keep your natural lashes as healthy as possible. Length and curl of the extensions will depend on the state of your natural lashes. Booking an initial Full Set is needed followed by Fills every 2-3 weeks going forward.

precare

In preparation for your Full Set or Lash Fill it is important to follow these guidelines

  • Always come your your appointment with clean lashes! Free of eye, face makeup, and residue including concealer, foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, false extension glue, oils, and debree. No waterproof makeup or residue of any kind can be present at the time of the appointment. Always wash your lashes within one hour of your scheduled appointment to guarantee they are clean for the service. When your lashes are squeaky clean it helps to ensure the extension will blond to the natural lash. If you are unable to personally wash your lashes prior to your appointment inform your Esthetician so this task can be performed.

  • Avoid all caffeine and use the restroom before your appointment. Be advised there is no restroom on site. Caffeine can effect your eyelids making them flutter and harder to apply the product. This can also cause your eyes to be more sensitive during the service.

  • Be prepared to keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours after they are applied. This includes steam, spray tanning, makeup, and intense sweat from working out.

aftercare

After receiving your Full Set or Fill it is important to follow these guidelines

  • Keep your eyes and extensions dry the first 24 hours after receiving your Full Set or Fill. This includes no steam, spray tanning, or applying product.

  • Wash your lashes daily or 2x a day with a wash & brush designed for this process. This is a critical step to achieve good eye health and guarantee the longevity of your extensions. If you work out, swim in the ocean, have a spray tan applied, wear eye makeup or foundation; it is important to wash your extensions and eye area immediately after and the next morning. Rinse all product off after washing.

  • Avoid oil in the products you use including your makeup remover, makeup products, setting sprays, face mists and skincare. Oil can breakdown the glue used when applying retention. Using these products will greatly effect retention.

  • Avoid using products with lint on your extensions and around your eye area. This includes Q-tips, wipes and towels. Items that contain lint can snag or tug on your extensions causing them to be damaged or pulled out.

  • Avoid any extreme heat near your lashes, This includes camp fires and ovens. Heat can singe or even melt your extensions.

  • Schedule your fills in advance with 2-3 weeks in between services to ensure your lashes are maintained on a regular schedule. Scheduling a fill with more than 3 weeks in between services may require you to book a longer amount of time or schedule for a new set.

Body Waxing

Precare & Aftercare Requirements

Understand your service

Waxing: the process of removing unwanted hair from the root. I offer various facial waxing at my studio with my favorite being eyebrows. Clean up and or/shaping with a nice Tint is one of my most popular services. Most people can receive this service with minimal, if any unwanted side effects. I use only the best products at my studio including calming agents and ant antiseptic cream to insure this. Waxing unwanted hairs will not make your hair grow back thicker to contrary belief, it is usually just the opposite. Waxing over a long, continued period of time will result in the hair becoming less dense and of a thinner texture.

aftercare

  • For 24 hours after your appointment you will want to avoid: Exfoliating the area, touching or scratching the area, excess steam and tanning.

  • Keep the area clean. If you feel the need to soothe the skin after your appointment you can apply a light layer of Aloe Vera.

  • Facial waxing can be performed every 2-4 weeks and on an as needed basis.

precare

  • Clients will want to make sure they are a candidate for waxing prior to booking the service. Waxing is never done on clients taking Accutane and is not recommended for clients taking Retin A, Retinol, Differin or other types of acne medications.

  • Avoid using tanning beds 24 hours prior and the client can not be waxed if they have a sun burn.

  • Clients should wait 7-10 days after receiving a chemical peel or microdermabrasion treatment.

  • Arriving to your appointments makeup free will help maximize your appointment time and create the least amount of irritation on the skin.

Lash Lift & Tint

Precare & Aftercare Requirements

Understanding your service

Lash Lifts are a wonderful service in itself, and also a great alternative to eyelash extensions. A Lash Lift creates a semi-permanent curl or lift to your natural lashes. No length is added and desired results are based on the length of your natural lashes. Lash Lifts are often combined with a lash tint to give extra depth and emphasize the lashes. Usually the tint fades shortly before the Lift falls. You will want to keep up with this service every 4-8 weeks to maintain the curl/lift results. Lash Lifts are safe for pregnant women in the 2nd and 3rd trimester and for most people who have experienced an allergic reaction to extensions. Makeup such as mascara and eyeliner can be worn with this service.

Aftercare

After receiving your Lash Lift it is important to follow these guidelines

  • Keep your eyes dry the first 24 hours after receiving your Lift. This includes no steam, spray tanning, or applying product.

  • Your lift will gradually fall within 4-10 weeks of having the service performed. If you choose to receive a tint on your lashes with this service, it will gradually fade within 2-4 weeks of having it performed.

  • Schedule your future lifts in advance with 4-8 weeks in between services to ensure your lashes are maintained on a regular schedule.

  • If you have considered getting eyelash extensions before you might notice that the aftercare and maintenance requirements are minimal in comparison. After receiving your Lash Lift (and waiting 24 hours) you are able to wear eye and face makeup, use oil in your products, and have long lasting results.
